Russia Denies US Claims of Nuclear Test Violations

The Kremlin has denied United States’ allegations that Russia and China have violated the decades-long moratorium on explosive nuclear tests, emphasizing that Moscow and Beijing remain committed to their obligations in this area.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said at a press conference in Moscow that the claims made by Washington are “not true,” and that neither Russia nor China has conducted any nuclear test violations. According to him, Beijing has also firmly rejected these accusations.

Peskov added that Moscow is interested in cooperation with the United States, but the sanctions imposed by Washington hinder the expansion of economic and trade interactions between the two countries. He described these sanctions as “illegal” and stated that there are multiple potential projects for collaboration, but restoring relations is a prerequisite for their realization.

Responding to a question about the US blockade of Cuban fuel, the Kremlin spokesman said that Russia has important bilateral relations with Cuba and is making efforts to develop these relations through various means.
