UK Police Investigate 87 Flights Linked to Jeffrey Epstein Involving British Airports

UK police have announced an investigation into allegations that Jeffrey Epstein, the American sex offender, used the country’s airports to traffic and transport women. This move follows claims by former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown that Epstein utilized Stansted Airport in Essex for “transporting girls.”
According to The Guardian, UK police have expanded the scope of their investigations into Epstein’s possible ties with the UK, confirming for the first time that they are examining his use of dozens of private flights to or from British airports.
A senior police source told The Guardian that with the release of millions of documents related to the Epstein case, a wide wave of allegations against various individuals and institutions is expected. The source described the situation as a potential “tsunami of claims” following the document disclosures.
Based on a BBC investigation published in December, 87 flights linked to Epstein were made to or from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018. These findings have raised questions about the level of oversight and awareness of the responsible authorities during that period.
Essex Police issued an official statement after The Guardian revealed that the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) has formed a national task force to support police forces in assessing claims tied to the newly released Epstein documents. The investigations are ongoing, and officials have stated that if credible evidence is found, further actions will be taken.
