Five Customs Projects in Aqina, Faryab Officially Inaugurated

Five key projects at the Aqina Customs in Faryab province have been completed with a total cost of 155 million afghanis and officially launched. The Taliban officials in the province say these projects aim to strengthen customs infrastructure and improve service delivery.
Abdolahad Fazli, the Taliban-appointed governor of Faryab, stated that the implementation of these projects plays a significant role in reinforcing customs structures, facilitating service processes, and better managing government revenues. According to him, these measures could positively impact local and national economic growth.
Situated at the northwestern border of the country, Aqina Customs is considered one of the important trade gateways, with a portion of import and export transactions carried out through this route. Economic experts have consistently emphasized that transparency in customs revenue management and effective use of resources are key factors in strengthening the country’s economy.
In recent years, the management of revenues and the utilization of development budgets under Taliban administration have drawn the attention of citizens and economic activists, who demand greater transparency and accountability in this sector.
