Armed Attack on Customs Office in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kills Two

A group of armed individuals attacked the customs office in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, resulting in the death of a customs employee and a police officer, with two others injured.
A police spokesperson stated that the incident occurred in the Yark Interchange area, where the attackers targeted the customs office. The victims were identified as Asrar Khan, a customs employee, and Muhammad Bilal, a police officer.
Additionally, two others were injured in the attack and were transferred to the hospital for treatment. Their current health conditions have not been officially disclosed.
The police added that after the attack began, a firefight took place between security forces and the attackers, but the armed assailants managed to escape the area.
In recent months, attacks on government facilities in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have increased. Due to its geographical location near insecure areas, Dera Ismail Khan has consistently faced security threats.
