Ramadan Timings Announced for Kabul, Official Start Date Yet to Be Confirmed

The Ministry of Hajj and Endowments has announced the iftar and suhoor timings for the holy month of Ramadan for Kabul city and its surrounding areas, designating Wednesday, 29th of Dalw, as the first day of the month. These timings have been set according to Hanafi jurisprudence.
Despite this announcement, the Taliban administration has yet to officially confirm the start of Ramadan. Every year, the formal declaration of the moon sighting by the relevant authorities is considered the basis for commencing fasting across the country.
This lack of an official announcement comes at a time when citizens require accurate and timely information to prepare for their religious observances and organize daily routines. It is expected that the responsible institutions will provide necessary clarifications as soon as possible to prevent any potential confusion.
