Afghan Citizen Arrested for Murder in Bergen, Norway

Norwegian media have reported the arrest of an Afghan citizen on charges of murdering another Afghan national, 28-year-old Mohammad Tariq Waziri, in the city of Bergen. The incident took place last Sunday evening outside the victim’s home.

According to released information, Mohammad Tariq Waziri was attacked while standing outside his house with his wife. In the attack, his wife was injured, but he succumbed to the severity of his wounds.

Norwegian police stated that investigations are ongoing to clarify the motive behind the murder and the nature of the relationship between the victim and the arrested individual. Security officials have not yet disclosed further details regarding the potential motive or background of the incident.

Media reports indicate that the suspect denies the murder charge. However, the competent court has ordered that he remain in police custody for at least four weeks while the investigation is completed.
