Taliban Allocates 100 Jeribs of Land in Kabul for Export Processing Center

The Taliban administration has announced the allocation of 100 jeribs of land in the Qasaba area of Kabul city for establishing a standard processing and packaging center for export goods, which has been handed over to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. This decision was made based on an order from the Taliban leader.

According to a statement released by the ministry, the center will be set up to process, package, and prepare export products, aiming to organize the preparation of domestic goods for foreign markets within a clear framework.

Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce have said that the creation of this center will improve the quality of domestic products and strengthen exports. They also claim that the project will create job opportunities for a number of local residents.

However, no details have been provided regarding construction costs, the exact start and completion dates of the project, or how the implementation process will be supervised. While boosting exports is an essential need for the country’s economy, transparency in executing such projects and ensuring traders have access to the promised facilities are issues the Taliban administration is expected to address clearly.
