China Warns Taiwan Separatists of Decisive Military Response

A spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Defense has announced that the Chinese armed forces will respond decisively to any provocative actions by Taiwan’s separatist movements. He emphasized that the People’s Liberation Army of China will target any forces it believes are attempting to initiate conflict.
Jiang Bin stated yesterday that Beijing is closely monitoring military activities it views as aiming to separate Taiwan from the mainland. He warned that forces who “dare to provoke and start a war” will face a strong response.
These remarks come after Taiwan News reported that Taiwan’s armed forces plan to relocate and deploy U.S.-made HIMARS rocket systems on the remote Penghu and Dongyin islands.
The Penghu and Dongyin islands hold strategic importance in the Taiwan Strait, and any deployment of advanced military equipment in these areas could impact regional security dynamics. China considers Taiwan a part of its territory, while the Taiwan government maintains a separate political structure.
