Rafael Grossi Announces Conclusion of Technical Talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Ahead of Geneva Meeting

Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), announced that he has concluded technical talks with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These negotiations were held in preparation for an important meeting scheduled to take place tomorrow in Geneva.

On Monday, Grossi wrote in a message on the social media platform X that the consultations were “technical and in-depth” and aimed at preparing for the upcoming negotiations. He did not provide further details about the topics discussed during these talks.

The Geneva meeting comes at a time when issues related to Iran’s nuclear program and its cooperation with the agency have consistently been at the center of global attention. The IAEA, as the supervising body over countries’ nuclear activities, plays a key role in assessing and monitoring member states’ technical commitments.

It is expected that the outcomes of the Geneva talks could influence the future course of interactions between Iran and the IAEA, although no additional official information has yet been released about the exact agenda of this meeting.
