Bodies of Two Avalanche Victims Found in Nuristan Province

Local officials in Nuristan province announced that the bodies of two individuals who were trapped under snow following an avalanche in the mountainous Wasma Kordar area several days ago have been found and handed over to their families today.

Farydon Samim, spokesperson for the governor of Nuristan under the Taliban administration, stated that search operations began immediately after the incident occurred. He noted that severe cold and continuous snowfall in this mountainous region posed serious challenges to the search efforts.

Nuristan province is one of the mountainous and cold regions of the country that experiences heavy snowfall and frequent avalanches during the winter season. Residents of these areas face natural disaster risks every year.
