Seven Dead in Two Separate Traffic Accidents in Ghazni and Nangarhar

At least seven people have lost their lives and a child has been injured in two separate traffic incidents in the provinces of Ghazni and Nangarhar. These accidents occurred today, Saturday, 14 February, in the Qarabagh district of Ghazni and the Behsud district of Nangarhar.
Khalid Sarhadi, spokesperson for the Taliban Police Command in Ghazni, stated that following a collision between a passenger vehicle and a cargo truck on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, five people including two women died and one child was injured. According to him, the incident took place in the Qarabagh district and was attributed to driver negligence.
In another incident, the Taliban Police Command in Nangarhar announced that two people died after a motorcycle collided with a car in the Sakhi Sahib area of Behsud district. According to the statement, the victims were the motorcycle riders. The authority did not provide an explanation regarding the cause of this incident.
Traffic accidents claim lives every year on highways and roads across Afghanistan. Driver carelessness, poor road conditions, and lack of traffic signs are considered major factors contributing to these events. These issues require serious attention and effective planning by the Taliban administration to prevent further casualties.
