Savings Group Supports Launch of Small Business in Herat

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced that a young resident of Herat province has successfully launched a small liquefied gas business with the support of a savings group, earning a daily income ranging from 200 to 400 afghanis. This young entrepreneur stated that joining the group not only enabled him to create a source of income but also boosted his self-confidence. According to him, the earnings from this venture have allowed him to continue his education. According to published information, this savings group supports not only the gas business but also other small enterprises. Such programs in recent years have been recognized as an effective way to strengthen the local economy and create job opportunities in different regions of Afghanistan. Economic experts believe that developing small and medium-sized businesses can play a key role in improving family livelihoods and reducing unemployment in the country, especially given the economic challenges many residents face.
