Afghan and Turkish Ambassadors Meet in Moscow to Expand Bilateral Cooperation

The Taliban administration’s ambassador to the Russian Federation met with the Turkish ambassador in Moscow to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkey. The meeting emphasized strengthening relations in political, economic, and cultural sectors.
According to a statement from the Afghan embassy in Moscow, Mawlawi Gul Hasan Hasan and Tenju Belgich also reviewed the facilitation of visa issuance for Afghan traders and patients. Both sides stressed the need to provide greater ease of travel for Afghan citizens to Turkey.
During the meeting, the importance of maintaining sustainable relations between the two countries and increasing coordination between their diplomatic missions was also discussed. The Afghan and Turkish ambassadors agreed to continue holding regular meetings between the two embassies in Moscow.
In recent years, Turkey has been one of the key destinations for Afghan traders and patients, with visa issues consistently being a significant aspect of bilateral relations.
