Taliban Ministry of Justice Declares 915 Acres in Ghazni as Government Land

The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has announced that 915 acres of land in the “Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi” township in the fifth district of Ghazni city have been officially registered as government property following a thorough review of documents and evidence. This decision was made by the Special Court for Cases of Occupied Lands in the Central Zone.
According to the ministry, before issuing the ruling, the Land Occupation Prevention Commission had examined the matter and then, in accordance with Article 17 of the law, referred the case to the Special Court.
Officials from the Taliban administration say that the process of confirming and reclaiming lands referred to as ‘Emirate lands’ is continuing seriously across the country. However, in similar cases, concerns have consistently been raised regarding the transparency of document reviews, the affected parties’ access to judicial procedures, and the protection of local residents’ rights—issues that require further clarification and accountability from the responsible institutions.
