Taliban Interior Minister Emphasizes Afghanistan’s Security as Crucial for Regional Stability

Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Taliban’s Interior Minister, stated at the graduation ceremony of the sixth professional police course that Afghanistan’s security and stability are fundamentally important for the security of the region and the world. He stressed that insecurity in Afghanistan could have widespread consequences for other countries as well.

These remarks come as the Taliban administration continues to emphasize the provision of comprehensive security across the country. Haqqani highlighted internal security as a key factor in preventing the spread of instability throughout the region.

Experts believe that ensuring sustainable security, beyond military actions, requires building public trust, respecting citizens’ rights, and strengthening professional structures within security institutions—an issue that remains under discussion and evaluation by both domestic and international bodies.
