Mass Protests Erupt in Iraq Against US and Israeli Attacks

Thousands of Iraqi citizens took to the streets in Baghdad and several other provinces to condemn recent attacks by the United States and Israel on regional countries, calling for an end to the conflicts.
The demonstrations followed a call by Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement. Protesters warned that continued military tensions could further destabilize the region and emphasized the need to maintain calm and prevent the escalation of the crisis.
In Baghdad, thousands gathered in Tahrir Square, chanting slogans opposing any normalization of relations with Israel and what they described as ‘foreign dominance.’ Participants also stressed the importance of peace and resolving disputes through political means.
Simultaneously, rallies were held in Maysan and Dhi Qar provinces at Hububi Square, where attendees condemned the recent attacks. In Mosul, thousands also took to the streets to show solidarity with other cities, underscoring the necessity of preserving stability and preventing heightened tensions in the region.
