Four Killed and Six Injured in Landslide in Kapisa Province

Four people have died and six others have been injured following a landslide on a residential house in the village of Shokhi, located in the center of Kapisa province. The incident occurred last night.

The Press and Public Relations Department of the Kapisa Police Command, under the Taliban administration, confirmed the news, stating that the event was caused by heaps of soil and rocks sliding down from the mountain onto the house.

According to local sources, the victims were residents of the affected house. The injured have been transferred to medical centers for treatment, though no further details about their condition have been released.

Landslides are common natural disasters in some mountainous areas of the country, typically occurring during cold seasons and periods of rain or snowfall. However, a lack of preventive measures and the absence of regular natural disaster management programs have consistently led to increased casualties in such incidents. This issue demands serious attention from Taliban officials at both local and central levels.
