Saudi Embassy Distributes 1,000 Food Packages in Logar Province

The Saudi Embassy in Afghanistan announced that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has distributed 1,000 food packages in Logar province. These aid packages were handed over to needy families on Tuesday, February 9, coordinated with the Al-Tawheed Institute.

According to the embassy’s statement, of the total packages, 617 were distributed in Pul-e-Alam, the capital of Logar province, while 383 packages were delivered to residents of Mohammad Agha district. The process is ongoing as part of a food support program.

The statement noted that this effort is part of the “Food Security and Emergency Assistance Project for Afghanistan for 2025-2026,” a program aimed at supporting vulnerable families during crises.

These aid efforts come amid an ongoing poverty and hunger crisis in many provinces across the country. Relief organizations have repeatedly warned that economic restrictions and poor management by the Taliban administration have worsened the living conditions of the population, increasing the need for humanitarian support.

Previously, the King Salman Foundation has also distributed food packages and provided health services in some northern and northeastern areas of Afghanistan.
