Extensive Media Coverage of the 22 Bahman Rally Across Iran

Regional and international media reported on the anniversary rally of Iran’s Islamic Revolution held in various cities across the country. The Yemeni network Al Masirah stated that the event began early in the morning in several cities, with large crowds gathering on roads and main squares.

According to the outlet, participants carried Iranian flags and images of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, chanting slogans supporting the country’s independence and rejecting foreign pressures. Al Masirah described the presence as carrying a political message amid sensitive regional and international circumstances, considering it more than just a symbolic ceremony.

In Tehran, Azadi Square was one of the main gathering points. Reports indicated that some military equipment, including Fateh-110 missiles, images referencing General Qasem Soleimani, and ‘Fath’ were displayed there. Additionally, wreckage of several drones, said to have been downed in recent conflicts, were also exhibited.

Simultaneously, Reuters news agency began live coverage of the event, reporting large crowds on designated routes. Citing official sources in Tehran, participants started gathering from 9:30 a.m. on the routes leading to Azadi Square.

Based on statistics provided by organizing bodies, this year’s rally was held at over 1,400 locations with thousands of domestic and international journalists responsible for its coverage. The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory is commemorated annually on 22 Bahman throughout Iran.
