Four Health Centers Opened in Nangarhar Districts with UN Support

The Taliban-run Ministry of Public Health has announced the opening of four primary health centers in the districts of Momandara, Behsud, Kama, and Khogyani in Nangarhar province. According to the ministry, these centers were constructed with financial support from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Based on the information provided, the centers offer outpatient services (OPD), maternal and child healthcare, vaccination, nutrition programs, and mental health services. The aim of establishing these centers is to improve access for residents in the mentioned areas to basic healthcare services.
Nangarhar province is one of the most populous provinces in eastern Afghanistan, and some of its districts have faced a shortage of quality healthcare services in recent years. The opening of these new health centers can address part of the primary healthcare needs of the local population in these areas.
