Mass Protests Across Australia Against Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s Visit

Thousands of Australians in multiple cities have held demonstrations opposing the visit of Isaac Herzog, President of the Israeli regime, demanding his arrest.
These protests coincided with the start of Herzog’s official four-day trip to Australia, which was made at the invitation of the country’s Prime Minister. The declared purpose of the visit is to express solidarity with Jewish communities following an armed attack on December 14 last year in Sydney.
However, the visit has sparked widespread negative reactions among segments of Australian society. Protesters took to the streets to show support for the Palestinian people and accused the Israeli president of committing war crimes.
Meanwhile, Sydney witnessed heightened security measures. Australian police deployed around three thousand security personnel across various areas to ensure the safety of the visit, a move that has itself generated further debate and criticism in the public sphere.
