Afghan Red Crescent and Turkish Religious Affairs Discuss Support for Orphans During Ramadan

The Afghan Red Crescent Society announced that in a coordination meeting with the representative of Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs in Afghanistan, ways to support orphans and needy children during the holy month of Ramadan were discussed.
The meeting was held between Hafiz Azizurrahman, Deputy Head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, and Emrah Kan Demir, the representative of Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs. The primary focus was on implementing iftar programs for the needy in Kabul and several other provinces across the country.
According to the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Hafiz Azizurrahman emphasized the necessity of coordinated cooperation among charitable organizations, stating that supporting orphans and needy families, especially during the cold winter season, is a human and social priority.
Meanwhile, Emrah Kan Demir stated that the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs has distributed winter clothing to orphans in some provinces for Ramadan and is also organizing iftar programs for the needy.
