UNRWA Continues Water and Sanitation Efforts Across Gaza Strip
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has reported that its teams across the Gaza Strip continue to provide vital water supply and sanitation services, essential for residents in densely populated areas.
According to the report, UNRWA staff are maintaining and operating water wells and desalination systems while simultaneously delivering drinking water to various areas using tanker trucks.
The agency is also working to uphold hygiene standards in temporary shelters through the distribution of cleaning supplies, waste management, water tank disinfection, and pest control efforts. These shelters face serious health risks due to overcrowding.
UNRWA emphasized that reliable access to clean water and sanitation services is an urgent and indispensable need for people living in these desperate and congested conditions.
