UAE Donates $150,000 Worth of Medicines to Jawzjan Provincial Hospital

The United Arab Emirates has provided 65 types of medicines worth $150,000 to the 200-bed Jawzjan Provincial Hospital to address initial healthcare shortages. This aid was officially handed over to the hospital officials today (Monday).
Mawlavi Abdullah Sarhadi, the governor of Jawzjan, during the delivery of the medicines, emphasized that the donated drugs should be used fairly and transparently in the treatment of patients. He stressed that equal access to healthcare services, especially under conditions of limited resources, is a fundamental principle.
The Jawzjan governor also urged the hospital officials to pay close attention to the storage of the medicines in the depot and adhere to necessary health standards to maintain the quality and effectiveness of the drugs.
Meanwhile, Dr. Afzal Azimi, head of the 200-bed Jawzjan Provincial Hospital, stated that this assistance can significantly compensate for the medicine shortages at the healthcare center. According to him, these medicines play an important role in meeting the primary treatment needs of patients and will improve the quality of healthcare services for visitors.
Wasim Sarwari, a representative of the UAE embassy, described the goal of this aid as supporting the essential medical needs of patients. He added that the United Arab Emirates seeks to continue its humanitarian aid and plans to cooperate with the people in the future in providing safe drinking water as well.
