Three Separate Traffic Accidents in Nangarhar Leave Five Dead and Three Injured

The Nangarhar Police Command has reported that three separate traffic accidents in the province have resulted in five fatalities and three injuries.

According to Syed Tayyib Hamad, spokesperson for the Police Command, the first accident occurred on Sunday evening on the Torkham-Jalalabad highway, within the jurisdiction of the Samarkhil district, where a collision between a tanker truck and a Babooji vehicle caused three deaths and three injuries.

The police spokesperson added that the second accident also took place that night in the third police district of Jalalabad city, where a Mazda car struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian died after being transferred to the hospital.

He stated that the third incident occurred in Nangarhar’s ninth police district, where a truck collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the motorcycle rider.

The Nangarhar Police Command has not specified the causes of these incidents, raising renewed questions about traffic safety oversight and road management in the province.

The Taliban-led police have urged drivers and residents to adhere to traffic regulations and exercise caution while driving to prevent the recurrence of fatal accidents.
