Heavy Snow and Rainfall Warning Issued for Several Provinces

The Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation announced today, the 20th of Dalw, a forecast of heavy snow and rainfall in several provinces across the country.

According to the forecast, the provinces of Kabul, Nuristan, Nangarhar, Laghman, Panjshir, Parwan, Kapisa, Baghlan, Samangan, Logar, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Maidan Wardak, Bamyan, Daykundi, Ghazni, Zabul, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Helmand, Farah, Herat, Ghor, Badghis, Faryab, and Sar-e Pol will experience these weather conditions. Additionally, the Salang Pass routes are also expected to see snow and rain.

The department added that, alongside the precipitation, there is a possibility of strong winds in the Salang Pass and in the northwestern, western, and central provinces of the country.

Officials have urged residents to take necessary safety precautions and to avoid non-essential travel on mountainous routes and in flood-prone areas.
