Green Garnet Mine Discovered and Confirmed in Panjshir Province

Local officials in Panjshir province have announced the discovery and official confirmation of a green garnet gemstone mine in the region for the first time.

According to the Panjshir Directorate of Mines and Petroleum, the mine is located in the village of Abdarah in the Anaba district. Technical examinations have officially verified the presence of this precious stone.

Officials from the department stated that the extraction process will begin in the near future, and a professional mining license has already been issued.

Panjshir, known as a mountainous province of Afghanistan, has previously been recognized for its mineral resources, especially emeralds. The discovery of green garnet is expected to enhance the economic significance of the province.
