Afghani Strengthens Against US Dollar in Kabul Market

The value of the Afghani has shown a significant increase against foreign currencies, especially the US dollar, in Kabul markets. According to the official exchange rate table published by Da Afghanistan Bank, one US dollar was traded today at 63 Afghanis.
Da Afghanistan Bank, operating under the Taliban administration, had previously announced that by implementing specific monetary policies, efforts have been made to maintain relative stability of the Afghani currency and to prevent sudden fluctuations in the exchange market.
Economic experts say that exchange rates are a key indicator of the country’s economic status and any changes directly affect the prices of goods and the purchasing power of residents. However, the sustainability of this situation depends on the overall economic conditions and transparency in the country’s monetary management.
