Former US Military Officer Welcomes Russia’s Victory in Ukraine Conflict
Daniel Davis, a retired United States Army officer, has stated that with the US expressing its intention to resolve the Ukraine crisis by June, the countdown to a Russian military victory on the battlefield has begun.
According to media reports citing Russia Al-Youm, Davis emphasized that this process is not limited to one side and, in practice, represents a political and military countdown for all major players, including Europe, Ukraine, and Russia.
He added that from Moscow’s perspective, there is no reason to make concessions because, in his view, Russia has come close to achieving its goals, and the West has also concluded that Ukraine’s defeat is inevitable.
The retired US military officer further said that understanding this outcome has led Washington to gradually distance itself from Ukraine and no longer be willing to bear further costs. According to him, US officials have declared that they will not invest more in Ukraine, and this decision could have been made much earlier.
