China Condemns Islamabad Suicide Attack, Expresses Solidarity with Pakistan
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after a two-day delay, strongly condemned the recent suicide attack in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, and expressed solidarity with the country’s citizens.
In an official statement, the ministry said that China opposes all forms of terrorism and will continue to firmly support the government and people of Pakistan in ensuring security and stability. The statement emphasized that Beijing stands with the families of the victims of the incident.
According to released information, the suicide attack targeted a mosque in Islamabad on Friday, resulting in the deaths of 31 people and injuring 169 others. This incident has been described as one of the deadliest attacks in the city in recent weeks.
The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the ISIS branch in Pakistan. Meanwhile, reports indicate a rise in insecurity in various parts of Pakistan in recent weeks, raising serious security concerns in the country and the region.
