Pul-e-Khumri Municipality Reports Over 109 Million Afghani Revenue in Nine Months

The Pul-e-Khumri Municipality in Baghlan province has announced that it has collected more than 109 million afghanis in revenue over the past nine months, which has been deposited into the government treasury.
Ahmad Fawad Hotak, head of the Pul-e-Khumri Municipality’s press section, told the media that the total revenue of the municipality during the past nine months amounted to 109.6 million afghanis—a figure that shows a significant increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the provided information, the municipality collected 97.869 million afghanis in revenue during the same nine months last year. Hotak stated that comparing the two periods shows an increase of approximately 11.731 million afghanis in revenue this year.
Municipality officials identified the main sources of revenue as urban cleanliness and sanitation, business license issuance, rental income from municipal properties, and the sale of securities.
Hotak also emphasized that the Pul-e-Khumri Municipality is striving to create new revenue sources to further increase its income, enabling more effective delivery of urban services.
He called on the residents of Pul-e-Khumri, both in the public and private sectors, to fulfill their financial obligations to the municipality within the prescribed time and cooperate in improving urban services.
