Gaza Health Ministry Reports Over 72,000 Deaths from Israeli Attacks

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip stated that as a result of Israeli military attacks on the area from October 7, 2023, to the present, a total of 72,027 people have died and 171,651 others have been injured.

In a recent statement, the ministry added that in just the past few hours, the bodies of two victims were transferred to medical centers, while 25 others were injured during the attacks. Health officials say that pressure on hospitals and medical staff continues unabated.

The Gaza Health Ministry warned that thousands of residents in the region remain missing and that many are believed to be trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings, a situation that has seriously hindered rescue efforts and medical care.

According to the same report, since the ceasefire announcement on October 11, 2025, at least 576 people have been killed and 1,543 injured. Additionally, during this period, the bodies of 717 victims have been recovered from the rubble—a figure that health organizations say highlights the ongoing deadly consequences of the conflict and the insufficiency of measures taken to protect civilians.
