Traffic Accident in Badakhshan Claims 12 Lives, Injures 3

Local officials in Badakhshan report that a traffic accident on the Arghanjkhwa district route has resulted in 12 deaths and three injuries. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Samdar area of the district. According to Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for the Badakhshan police command, the vehicle carrying the individuals met with an accident on the mentioned route, causing heavy casualties. The injured have been transported to medical centers for treatment. Local authorities have cited poor road conditions as the primary cause of the accident, highlighting ongoing concerns about the inadequate transportation infrastructure in Badakhshan. Residents have repeatedly urged the Taliban administration to take serious action to repair and improve the roads, but according to them, these demands have yet to receive any practical response.
