Afghan Community in Mashhad Holds ‘Afghanistan Together 3’ Meeting to Support Iran

The ‘Afghanistan Together 3’ gathering was held in the holy city of Mashhad with the participation of over 70 political, cultural, social, and media figures from Afghanistan. The event aimed to express the migrant community’s support for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The meeting, which took place today on the 16th of Dey/January-February 1404 (Persian calendar) in Mashhad, saw participants strongly condemning recent threats by the United States against Iran. They emphasized Afghan people’s solidarity with the Iranian government and nation, declaring their firm support for Iran’s leadership and the Islamic Republic.
Speakers at ‘Afghanistan Together 3’ highlighted the longstanding historical and cultural ties between the peoples of Afghanistan and Iran. They rejected the hostile rhetoric of the US president towards Iran, considering the threats from America as threats against the entire Muslim community worldwide.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the organizers issued a statement noting the renewed confrontation between global oppressors and the Islamic Republic. They described this conflict as an ideological battle between Western secularism and divine governance based on monotheism, justice, human dignity, and defense of the oppressed.
The statement reads in part: “The Islamic Revolution of Iran, by presenting an Islamic governance model, challenged the intellectual and political structures of the global dominance system. In defending the Islamic nation, particularly on the issue of Al-Quds and supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, it has left a brilliant and inspiring record. Today, this historic confrontation between the front of truth and the front of global disbelief has reached a decisive point.”
The declaration also emphasized the support of the Afghan people, especially Afghan migrants residing in Iran, for the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran: “The people of Afghanistan and Afghan migrants in the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemn the overt and covert interventions of the United States and the Zionist regime and declare their full readiness to support the Islamic Republic of Iran, the wise Leader of the Revolution, and the salvational ideals of the Islamic Revolution.”
Additionally, the statement warned the United States that any aggression against Iran’s sovereignty would be met with a strong and powerful response.
The ‘Afghanistan Together’ meetings are among programs held in recent years aimed at fostering dialogue, cooperation, and strengthening ties between Afghan migrants and the host society. Organizers say these meetings focus mainly on cultural, social, and identity issues of migrants and seek to provide a platform for expressing diverse viewpoints.
