Former Iranian Minister Karim Khorram Labels Epstein File Leak as a Sign of Moral Collapse in Western Politics and Capitalism

Karim Khorram, the former Minister of Intelligence and Culture under the republican system, described the disclosure of millions of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s case as an indication of moral collapse at the highest levels of politics and capitalism in the West.
He stated that with the release of these documents, Western politicians can no longer speak from a superior position on ethics, democracy, justice, and human rights. In his view, this case presents a different image from the official claims of power institutions in Western countries.
Khorram also cautiously referenced the Gaza war, saying that the events of this conflict have not been overlooked by public opinion and, alongside the Epstein case revelations, have raised serious questions about the ethical conduct of Western policymakers.
He emphasized that his remarks do not target ordinary citizens of Western countries, noting that residents of these nations have repeatedly protested against injustices on various occasions, including regarding the Gaza war.
These remarks come as the United States Department of Justice has released millions of documents related to the controversial case of Jeffrey Epstein, the financier accused of sex trafficking. The exposure of details in this case has had reputational and legal consequences for several prominent political and economic figures in the West.
