Heavy Snowfall Temporarily Closes Several Key Roads in Daikundi Province

The Public Works Directorate of the Taliban administration in Daikundi has announced that heavy snowfall has temporarily closed several important roads in the province.
According to a statement released today, Thursday, 16th Dalwa (February 5), the Daikundi-Kabul road at the Qutal Qunaq area, as well as the routes connecting the Khadir and Kiti districts to the provincial capital Nili, have been closed to traffic.
Meanwhile, the statement added that the Daikundi-Kandahar road via Qutal Tamzan and the Shahrak-Nili road at Qutal Chablak remain open and are currently accessible.
The Public Works Directorate has urged travelers and drivers to avoid traveling on the closed routes until further notice. Residents of Daikundi have repeatedly complained about road closures during the winter season, a situation that every year complicates access to services, markets, and medical centers for the local population.
