Taliban Cabinet Approves Development Budget Spending Report in Latest Meeting

In the 14th meeting of the Taliban administration’s cabinet, chaired by Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the report on the country’s development budget expenditure was approved, and decisions were made on several economic, social, and cultural issues.
According to the Arg newsletter, the meeting was held on Tuesday. Relevant institutions were directed to allocate the development budget within the framework of pre-planned projects and to spend it within the specified time. Officials emphasized that project implementation must follow the planned schedule.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the problems faced by Afghan refugees, assigning responsible departments the task of seeking appropriate solutions to their challenges.
However, no details were provided regarding the amount of budget spent, oversight mechanisms, or accountability to the public. This absence of information raises renewed questions about financial transparency and the efficiency of resource management within the Taliban administration.
