Seif al-Islam Gaddafi Assassinated in Libya Amid Armed Attack

According to media reports, Seif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of Libya’s former President Muammar Gaddafi, was killed in an armed incident in the Zintan area. It is said that the event occurred when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him.
Local sources reported that this incident happened following an armed clash between a militant group and Seif al-Islam Gaddafi’s security forces, during which he was ambushed. Preliminary information indicates that four unknown individuals were involved in the attack.
Moussa Ibrahim, former spokesperson for Muammar Gaddafi’s administration, has confirmed the death of Seif al-Islam Gaddafi. However, it remains unclear which faction or group orchestrated the assassination.
Seif al-Islam Gaddafi was the second son of Muammar Gaddafi and was considered a prominent political figure in Libya. After the fall of the Gaddafi regime in 2011, he became a controversial figure in the country’s politics, with some factions close to the former regime viewing him as a potential player in Libya’s future political landscape and stabilization process.
