Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce Meets Iranian Ambassador to Boost Trade and Investment

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment in Kabul held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The main focus of the meeting was to explore ways to develop trade and investment between the two countries.
During the meeting, both parties emphasized improving transit procedures and creating border facilitation measures. According to attendees, these efforts could help streamline trade exchanges.
Additionally, strengthening transport infrastructure, seen as a fundamental need to accelerate the movement of goods, was discussed to reduce challenges faced by commercial activities along existing routes.
Due to its geographical location, Afghanistan plays a significant role in regional transit corridors. Enhancing economic cooperation with neighboring countries, including Iran, could positively impact market conditions and provide traders with alternative routes.
