14 Injured Afghan Citizens Rescued from Snowy Regions in Turkey and Transferred to Hospitals

The Border Police Directorate announced that in the latest rescue operation, 14 Afghan citizens who were stranded and injured in the snowy regions of Turkey were transferred to medical centers.

Abdullah Faruqi, the spokesperson for the directorate, stated that the operation was carried out yesterday and that the border police forces managed to extract the injured individuals from the difficult-to-access areas and transfer them to hospitals for treatment.

According to him, this is not the first such operation; previously, the border police forces affiliated with the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior had rescued 180 Afghan citizens who faced danger due to snowfall and adverse weather conditions.

The entrapment of Afghan migrants on perilous migration routes, especially during winter, once again highlights the serious risks of these paths and the absence of safe and legal migration routes—a problem that continually threatens the lives of Afghan citizens.
