Taliban Administration Announces New Reshuffle in Leadership Positions

The Taliban administration has announced a series of changes and new appointments in government positions following the order of Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the administration.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban administration, stated that under this decision, Aziz-ur-Rahman Mansoor, former deputy of the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, has been appointed as the new governor of Parwan province, while Mohammad Idris Anwari, the former governor of Parwan, has been assigned as head of the Cultural and Social Affairs Department of the administrative office.

According to the announcement, Turjan Ahmadi, former deputy governor of Nimroz, has been appointed as governor of Daykundi province, and Najibullah Badakshi, former police commander of Laghman, has been named deputy governor of Nimroz. Additionally, Najibullah Rafi, former governor of Daykundi, has been introduced as the general commander of the security forces of the Supreme Court.

The Taliban spokesperson added that this order is not limited to these appointments and includes other changes at the level of ministry deputies, provincial police commanders, and central and provincial heads. These frequent reshuffles, conducted without transparency regarding the criteria for appointments, once again raise questions about accountability, administrative stability, and the role of local residents in the decision-making structure of the Taliban administration.
