Ayatollah Khamenei Warns Any War on Iran Will Escalate into Regional Conflict

Amid rising verbal tensions between Tehran and Washington, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has warned that any new war against Iran would escalate into a regional conflict.

According to a report by IRIB, Ayatollah Khamenei made these remarks during a speech at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiya in the presence of a group of people. He stated that military threats from the United States are not new and that American officials have repeatedly spoken of the option of war in the past.

The Supreme Leader added that references to warships, aircraft, and military threats have existed before, and such statements, according to him, neither intimidate the Iranian people nor have a decisive impact on public opinion.

At the same time, he emphasized that Iran will not be the first to start a war and does not intend to attack any country, but he warned that in the event of any attack or pressure, Iran will respond accordingly. These remarks come amid consistently tense political and security relations between Iran and the United States in recent years.
