Afghanistan’s Ministry for Promotion of Virtue Meets Kabul’s Chahardahi Elders to Address Community Issues

The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice and Complaints Office of the Taliban administration announced that Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, the minister of this ministry, met with tribal elders from the Chahardahi area of Kabul city, emphasizing the role of this institution in addressing the concerns of residents.
According to the ministry’s newsletter, Mr. Hanafi stated in this meeting that he considers the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue as the “home of citizens,” where residents can directly share their worries and problems with the officials of this department.
He also claimed that the Taliban administration is a system arising from among the people and sees itself committed to providing facilities and resolving the problems of the people of Afghanistan. This assertion comes amid widespread complaints from many citizens regarding restrictions and lack of effective access to accountable institutions.
The Ministry of the Promotion of Virtue said that after hearing the concerns of the Chahardahi elders in Kabul, the minister instructed his subordinates to not neglect the public’s demands and to act promptly by utilizing available resources.
