Popular Mobilization Commander: Unofficial Border Crossings Between Iraq and Syria Closed

A commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Anbar province stated that all unofficial crossings along the Iraq-Syria shared borders have been closed, and security control over the border strip has been fully secured.

According to Iraqi media, Salah Fadhil Al-Eisawi emphasized that forces stationed in these areas have successfully prevented any infiltration by terrorist elements, and currently, there is no effective threat from this region to the borders.

He noted that the border areas from the Rabia region to Al-Tanf inside Syrian territory, as well as the Arar crossing and desert areas west of Anbar, remain under tight security and continuous military surveillance.

The PMF commander added that all military personnel deployed in these areas are on high alert to respond immediately and decisively to any terrorist movement or aggression.
