Nearly 26,000 Transport Operators in Kabul Issued Electronic Cards and Route Books

The Department of Urban Public Transport Regulation of the Taliban Ministry of Transport and Aviation announced that since the beginning of the current solar year, electronic cards and route booklets have been distributed to 25,988 transport vehicles in Kabul city. According to information provided by the department, the majority of these documents have been allocated to urban taxis, with 17,949 taxis across various areas of Kabul included in the program. Additionally, 733 city buses and 7,306 freight transport vehicles have also received electronic cards and route booklets to ensure their operations are conducted within the established framework. Officials from the Urban Public Transport Regulation Department stated that the goal of this initiative is to better organize urban transportation, increase transparency in the activities of transport operators, and improve traffic order in Kabul city—a goal that citizens have consistently demanded to be implemented effectively.
