Pakistan Condemns ‘Provocative’ Remarks Made in Kabul, Warns of Security Risks

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the recent remarks made by the head of a school in Kabul province, labeling them as “provocative.” Islamabad warns that these statements could have serious security consequences.
Tahir Andrabi, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, stated during his weekly press briefing that his country views such comments as irresponsible. He emphasized that the Taliban administration must take action against individuals who promote such positions. According to Andrabi, the responsibility for the current situation lies with the Taliban government, and there are serious concerns about the source of anti-Pakistan threats.
This response came after Mullah Sher Ali, a Taliban supporter, called on people at a funeral in the Qala-e-Darrah area of Kabul to wage “jihad” in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Pakistan. During his speech, he declared that he would not rest until the “white flag” is raised in Islamabad.
These remarks have once again raised questions and criticism about the Taliban administration’s approach to curbing hate speech and cross-border threats—an issue that could impact regional relations and the security of neighboring countries.
