Food and Non-Food Aid Distributed to Needy Families in Logar Province

The Logar Provincial Police Headquarters has announced that its Anti-Narcotics Department distributed food and non-food aid to dozens of needy families, including those with addicted members.
According to provided information, these families were identified in advance by an assigned committee, and the distribution process was carried out based on a pre-prepared list. The aid packages included 19 different types of food and non-food items.
Although the Taliban administration describes this initiative as part of its support programs, some local residents consistently emphasize the need for transparency in the identification process of beneficiaries and the continuation of such aid. They believe that widespread poverty, unemployment, and rising addiction rates in Logar require sustainable and responsive programs rather than temporary assistance.
Logar is one of the provinces that has faced serious economic and social challenges in recent years. It is expected that responsible organizations, in addition to distributing aid, will seriously address the root causes of poverty and addiction.
