New Protests Erupt in Minneapolis Following Federal Agents’ Use of Tear Gas

A fresh wave of public protests has erupted in Minneapolis after the killing of a 37-year-old man during an operation by United States federal agents. The demonstrations began outside the offices of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and quickly became a central point of social tension in the city.

According to reports, the incident happened just hours after federal agents fatally shot a man during an operation; this being the second similar case in a short period, sparking anger and concern among local residents.

Protesters gathered around the federal agency demanding clear accountability regarding the agents’ conduct and the use of deadly force. However, U.S. security forces responded to disperse the crowd with tear gas canisters and aggressive measures, escalating the tensions.

These developments have renewed debates about the limits of federal agents’ authority, their treatment of citizens, and the right to peaceful protest in the United States. Civil organizations and many Minneapolis residents stress that continued use of violence not only undermines public trust but also deepens social crises.
