Iran and Pakistan Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments in Phone Call
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional and international developments.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement on Saturday, January 24, that during the call, Mr. Araghchi expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s negative vote on the proposed resolution against Iran at the United Nations Human Rights Council.
According to the same statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister emphasized his country’s principled stance, stating that Islamabad has always adhered to respect for national sovereignty and the principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states.
This conversation took place amid ongoing political and diplomatic developments in the region and international organizations, which continue to influence relations between countries and how they interact in global forums.
