Taliban Administration Activates Building Permit Centers in Several Provinces

The General Directorate of Municipalities under the Taliban administration has announced the activation of building permit centers in several provinces to curb unregulated construction.
According to officials from this directorate, these centers have been established to enforce standard construction based on urban plans, aiming to streamline the legal process for building construction.
Faiz Mohammad Ghuzang, head of the budget department at the General Directorate of Municipalities, stated that the centers have been launched to facilitate citizens, so homeowners no longer need to visit multiple agencies during the permitting process. He added that services such as electricity, firefighting, and water supply are centralized within these units.
Ghuzang further explained that all legal procedures for constructing a building are completed within a maximum of fifteen days. Based on the provided information, these centers are currently active in several provinces and are planned to be expanded nationwide in the future.
